- Dove Frizz-Free Shine Cream Serum
Thoughts on all of the items that didn't make the cut.
Tresemme Dry Shampoo - First dry shampoo, terrible with my oily black hair. Didn't absorb anything, was difficult to brush out, left a white cast even when sprayed farther away than suggested, and I didn't like the smell. Never again.
Aussie Split End Treatment - I bought this because it was cheap but I never used it. I think I may have used it twice when I first bought it but my hair is pretty healthy and I use oil on the ends now so it doesn't really have a place in my routine or my bathroom.
Garnier Fructis Root Spray - I have no idea why I bought this, especially considering the fact that I already own(ed?? at the time) a root spray that smells great. I didn't see any positive changes with my hair when I used it, sort of weighed it down actually and I'm not a fan of the smell.
John Freida Root Spray - Oh how I wanted to love this too. I'm fairly positive I bought this in a BOGO thing (though I should have just bought all of the Leave-In Conditioner Spray because I've actually finished a few bottles of them) but I just don't use it. It too smells lovely, like sweet mint and joy. If this was a body spray rather than a hair root spray I would probably have used it all up spraying it on various objects. But alas, spraying root stuff onto sheets is probably a bad idea.
Herbal Essences Mousse - I wanted to love this but as a person who does not blow dry hair nor do I know much about styling, this was basically useless. It smells fantastic though. I love the smell of most Herbal Essences products, they smell great. If I didn't buy shampoo from Costco I would probably get a bottle of Herbal Essences every once in a while. I got it because it was in the clearance section. Reminder not to do that again.
Dove Frizz-Free Shine Cream Serum - I actually really love this. It works well, smells great, and was pretty cheap. I'm just going to focus on using this up now rather than my John Frieda one because this is closer to being empty and is also less convenient packaging. It's cute packaging, but not very space efficient. Might repurchase this after finishing this bottle and the John Frieda one, but it'll probably take ages.
If each object besides the Dove Serum cost around $4 I wasted $24 on products I never/don't like using. That's like a week of food/a grocery run. Not to mention the time it took to buy them and the space they've taken on my sink counter. I didn't include the Dove because I've actually used a good amount of it and liked it. Reminder to self, don't buy things you don't like~ Invest in good things you'll actually use.
